DEVELOPMENT OF SOLUTION-FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPY AND EXPERIENTIAL TEACHING INSTRUCTIONAL MODEL TO IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH LITERACY OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Abstract

The Objective of this research were: 1) To examine the factors affecting to improve
mental health literacy of undergraduate students, 2) To develop the solution-focused brief
therapy and experiential teaching instructional model to improve mental health literacy of
undergraduate students, 3) To study the results of solution-focused brief therapy and
experiential teaching instructional model to improve mental health literacy of undergraduate
students. The Population are 108 students from 3 classes of international economics and trade
who enroll on mental health education course in 1

nd semester, academic year 2023 in Guangxi
Vocational University of Agriculture. The instrument of the research used to collect data was
the 5 rating-scale the questionnaire for students and the interview for the teachers. Research
process to do the questionnaire for students. Data Analysis by Descriptive Statistics i.e.,
Frequency, mean, Standard Deviation.
The results of this research were found results are 1) The Internal factors are Physical
and Psychological, and 2) The External Factors are Social environmental four lecturers
promote an interactive and collaborative learning environment. They encourage group
discussions, peer reviews, and collaborative projects, which can enhance students’ social
interaction, teamwork skills, and mutual learning are Materials, Teaching Methods, Class size
and Evaluation
