2) Outer Circle English — These varieties develop in former British colonies like India, Singapore, the Philippines, and Nigeria, where English is an official or second language. They have distinct accents, vocabulary, and grammatical structures influenced by local languages.
3) Expanding Circle English — This includes countries like Thailand, Japan, and China, where English is learned as a foreign language. These varieties are shaped by local culture and educational policies.
